At Chestnut Lane Assisted Living Community, we pride ourselves on offering you choices that allow you to live your life the way you want. It’s a simple concept that means you can take control of your time, find comfort in your surroundings, and be part of a community of friends and neighbors. Now that’s really living.
Chestnut Lane Assisted Living Community serves Deaf Individuals from Across the United States. Chestnut Lane is just outside Portland, Oregon, in the village of Gresham. At Chestnut Lane we provide personal services and assisted care to support independence and privacy, while serving the unique needs of Deaf residents.
The community has a number of features designed for deaf residents. Each room has space for a TTY or VP, and a fire alarm system with flashing lights. The nurse-call system in each room provides a digital readout rather than a voice as in a traditional intercom. A computer room shared by residents will have video conferencing equipment enabling residents to use sign language instead of typing. Other features of the facility include a small library, beauty salon/barber shop with a deaf beautician, laundry, walking paths, and craft programs. To see more of what Chestnut Lane offers, please enjoy our Video Tour!
Consider this your invitation to come and see what Chestnut Lane is all about. We'd love for you to call Chestnut Lane your home.
