Body found near Mt. Hood Community College

The body was discovered Monday morning along a trail to Beaver Creek, in an area just south of Southeast Stark between Troutdale Road and Northeast Kane.

According to police, the body belongs to a 39-year-old male. They have tentatively identified him, but are not yet releasing his name.

The body has been released to the Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.

Oh man, I'm pretty freaked out. I'm 17 and a student at MHCC and I was in class about two hours ago when I found this out. Where this man was found is pretty much right in my "backyard". My boyfriend and I go fishing there and walk those trails all the time! Needless to say, I'm definitely not walking home from class anymore nor going on those trails after dark. I hope the man wasn't murdered.

This is far too little information especially for those of us who live in close proximity to this area and have kids traversing these adjoining nieghborhoods to and from school. Please update this story asap.
